Both the VA and the FHA guaranteed loans are governed by the HUD discrimination laws. If you experience discrimination or are unable to find housing because you are using an FHA Guaranteed loan, follow the above steps about filing a HUD complaint.
If you experience discrimination or are unable to find a home because you are using a VA Guaranteed loan, file for a VA investigation. Your complaint must describe the discrimination, the date it occurred, names, addresses, and phone numbers of all those involved in the discrimination, and the address of the property involved. Use VA Form 26-8827 (Housing Discrimination Complaint) for this; you can get this form at your local VA office.
For those using VA financing, your local or regional VA office may be able to direct you to VA repossessed homes that can be sold to qualified buyers using VA financing.
