It could be several things. It could be OCD if you keep putting things on until something just “feels right.”
Remember that we discussed how OCD often searches for something to feel right, even though what feels right can change on a daily, even hourly, basis. Or, some people put certain fears onto clothes, thinking that wearing certain outfits may cause them to be bad people or to somehow change their sexual preferences.
This could also be a symptom of a social anxiety disorder, if, for example, you look at an outfit and then think of all of the negative things that people may say or think about you if you were to wear that outfit, so you change again and again until you put on something that you finally think will not lead you to be judged negatively that day.
If the clothes-changing is to the point that it is negatively affecting your life, you may want to speak to a therapist about it.
