A deposition consists of questions asked by an attorney and answered under oath by a witness or principal in a case, prior to trial. Your attorney will depose your employer, your immediate supervisor, and any potential witnesses. The employer’s attorney will depose you and any of your witnesses.
However, some agencies do not allow face-to-face depositions and instead require that all parties use written interrogatories. Written interrogatories are written questions that must be answered under oath.
