If you had a conviction when you were a minor, you may be able to get your record expunged of the conviction. The same thing may also be true in some other types of cases if the conviction was long ago, if the punishment was community service, or if the crime is considered minor. The best way to find out if you can get your record expunged is to have an attorney do the work for you.
If you cannot get your record expunged, be prepared to explain the conviction and your rehabilitation. Go into the interview with answers to questions about the conviction, show remorse, show that you have not gotten into trouble since that event, and show that you are now an upstanding member of the community.
